Privacy Policy

Account information you give us: your email address and password (stored only as a one-way hash by our authentication provider).

Market and preference information you enter during onboarding and in settings: your market, target areas, goals, platforms, posting frequency, personality styles and content interests. We use this to research and tailor your opportunities.

Product usage: the opportunities shown to you, the video packages you build, and basic diagnostic events used to keep the service working.

Billing information: our payment processor, Stripe, handles your payment details. We never receive or store card numbers, CVC codes or bank credentials. We store only your subscription plan, status, billing period and Stripe customer/subscription identifiers.

To operate your account, research local content opportunities for your market, generate your video packages, enforce your plan's weekly build allowance, process subscription payments, send transactional email (verification, password reset, billing notices), and protect the service from abuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run advertising on Local Yap.

We share only what is necessary with the providers that run Local Yap: our cloud hosting and database provider, Stripe for payments and billing management, our transactional email provider, and the AI and web-research providers used to analyze publicly available local sources. Each processes data on our instructions.

We keep your account, market profile and saved content while your account exists. If you cancel your subscription, we keep your account and saved content so you can return — we do not delete your work because you cancelled. You can delete your account from Account & settings, which removes your profile and content.

Access to your data is restricted at the database level so one account cannot read another's. Traffic is encrypted in transit. No system is perfect; report any concern to support@localyapapp.com.

You can access and correct your information in Account & settings, export or request a copy by emailing us, and delete your account at any time. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights over your personal data; email us and we will honor them.

Local Yap is a business tool and is not intended for anyone under 18.

If we make a material change to this policy we will update the effective date above and notify active subscribers by email.
